Over the past 7+ years we have added hundreds of children’s story books about food to our book wall and rotate titles seasonally. We were amazed by the amount of wonderful children’s books there were that illustrated such a wide variety of topics like eating well, teaching how food grows, where food comes from, who cooks it, the culture of food, and other food-related topics. Sifting through the classics like Blueberries for Sal, The Carrot Seed, Bread and Jam for Frances and more while discovering new titles like The Mighty Asparagus, The Gigantic Turnip and Dumpling Soup. We spent hours in book stores posted up on the floor with piles of children’s books around us.
