Storybooks about food are a focal point in our early childhood classes for ages 2 to 4, specifically our Little Chefs class and our Storybook Cooking class, but our loved by our students of all ages. Over the past 7+ years we have added hundreds of children’s story books about food to our book wall and rotate titles seasonally. We were amazed by the amount of wonderful children’s books there were that illustrated such a wide variety of topics like eating well, teaching how food grows, where food comes from, who cooks it, the culture of food, and other food-related topics. Sifting through the classics like Blueberries for Sal, The Carrot Seed, Bread and Jam for Frances and more while discovering new titles like The Mighty Asparagus, The Gigantic Turnip and Dumpling Soup. We spent hours in book stores posted up on the floor with piles of children’s books around us. When we opened our studio in 2012 we knew we wanted to create an amazing book wall filled with storybooks about food to read with our students.

Losing It All – Kati WildeĪ formerly happy-go-lucky hero who realises he has no qualms about keeping the heroine tied to his bed to stop her escaping, and taking out vengeance on her body. I have sort of mixed feelings about this book, but it’s definitely one I can’t forget. Manipulative hero who plays with the heroine. I actually think it’s really well-written, sexual-harassment type bullying is infinitely preferable to the physical-harm type other books have, and in general I thought the book gets off on the right foot. Call me twisted, but that’s one of my favourite parts of the book. This is, at least initially, a dark bully romance that starts out with the hero pretty much forcing the heroine to blow him in a classroom. ⤅ Dark romance, including a lot of dubcon This has a TON of my favourite themes/tropes, including: It’s long, well-written, and the hero is deliciously amoral. The hero blackmails the heroine, his older stepsister, into becoming his mistress. Honestly, this is one of my favourite RH series the characterisation is spectacular. They’re all very manipulative and obsessed with her. She signs on to be their mistress, essentially, in exchange for protection. RH between the heroine, her stepbrother, and his best friends.
